Final club night Wednesday 6th June

Due to the closure of Cascades pool our last club night will be Wednesday 6th June. A big 'thank-you' to all swimmers who have attended the various sessions throughout the year; rain, sleet, snow or occasionally shine, overall attendance has been good and individual performances have improved. There is no doubt that the club is 'on the up and up'; our PTL squad finished third in their league, the Teletots just missed out on promotion, we did well at the Armagh Championships and made our mark at 'Age Group Superstars' and 'Stroke Development' galas. Another thank-you is due to the committee members, 'volunteer' timekeepers, caterers and a host of others who have helped out in one way or another. We hope everyone connected with the club has a great summer and we look forward to the 2007-2008 season. Don't forget to keep an eye on the Club News page of the website for all the latest information and the best of luck to our swimmers who will be waiting for exam results!

Teletots Runners-up in 'Swim-Off' finals

Portadown Teletots came close to securing promotion to Division 2 in the 'Swim-Off finals at Banbridge finishing just 12 points behind favourites Ballymena. The three way swim-off went down to the final front crawl relays and although Portadown took two of the four events it was not quite enough. However, once again the young squad swam their hearts out and they can look back on the gala and know that they did their best. Congratulations to Ballymena and thanks to Dungannon who helped to make it an exciting end to the season. We will be back next year more determined than ever.
