Irish Minor Schools Success!

Congratulations to Caitlin Wylie who returned form Dublin with 2 medals in Saturday's Irish Minor Schools Swimming Championships. Caitlin finished second in the Girls 9 and Under Breaststroke and third in the Butterfly event. Unfortunately there was no luck for other club swimmers Daniel Chambers, Beth Irwin and Eden Magwood in their individaul strokes. However, two other club swimmers, Cahil Meredith and Sean McCann helped their Medley Relay team to bronze in an exciting final.

Disappointment as Ballymena win

Portadown lost to Ballymena in last weeks PTL gala. The 30 point defeat was disappointing especially as several squad members swam particularly well. Perhaps it was the coach journey but in the opening Medley Relay swims Portadown won only two of the eight events and from then on it was always a game of 'catch-up' with Ballymena in the driving seat. However, by the end of the gala the Freestyle relays finished all square at four wins each! Congratulations to all new PB's. We look forward to a home swim in the new year after two away trips.

Christmas Draw Tickets!

Club members are reminded that all Christmas Draw tickets should be returned on Wednesday 12th December 2007. Last year's draw was a big success and lets do our best to ensure that all tickets are sold. Remember, 'It could be you!
