Happy Christmas!

PASC would like to wish all swimmers and their families a very Happy Christmas. We hope that everybody has been good this past year and that Santa will come and maybe bring something nice. Please note times of swimming sessions throughout the holiday period below.

Ballymena win PTL Gala

Our PTL squad were beaten by a very strong Ballymena team on Saturday 6th December. Unfortunately, we were unable to field a full strength team due to the absence of several club swimmers and the end result did not come as any great surprise. A huge 'thank-you' is due to all of those members who were asked to 'swim-up' on the night, some of them at very short notice. The next PTL gala is away to City of Derry on Saturday 17th January 2009. All swimmers are asked to make themselves available for this gala.

Final Club Night of 2008

Our last Club Night of 2008 will take place on Wednesday 17th December when we hope to be able to offer 'something different' for swimmers depending on numbers and ongoing Assistant Teacher assessment arrangements. Please note that these activities are for Club Members Only! It may be possible to use the diving boards but only for big pool swimmers. Anyone who has not yet collected their little Christmas 'goodie' (selection box) should speak to the ladies at the front desk.

Teletot Gala

The first gala of the new season will take place on Friday 9th January 2009 (evening) against Lurgan ASC. A provisional list of swimmers will be announced on Wednesday 17th December and all of those who make the squad are required to attend training on Monday 22nd and Monday 29th December (5.30-7.30) if they are to be considered for the team! The team will compete in Division 2 this year following our promotion last year. We wish the whole team the very best of luck as they take to the water against Lurgan.

Swim Shop

Jammers, swimsuits, goggles and hats are on sale every Wednesday night from 7.00 - 8.00pm. all other items including hoodies, poolside kits and bags will need to be ordered.The next deadline for ordering is Wednesday 14th January 2009. Please check with the front desk for details regarding prices, sizes etc.

Christmas Swimming Schedule

The following sessions will operate over the holiday period.

Wednesday 17th December - last 'Club Night' until after Christmas.

Saturday 20th December - as usual. No Sunday swimming!

Monday 22nd December - session 5.30-7.30pm provisional 'Teletot' squad only!

No sessions Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Saturday 27th or Sunday 28th December.

Monday 29th December - session 5.30--7.30pm provisional 'Teletot' squad only!

No sessions Tuesday 31st (New Year's Eve) and Wednesday 1st January (New Year's Day)

Saturday 3rd January and Sunday 4th January - normal swimming sessions.

Monday 5th January - one session only 3.00 (ish!) -5.00pm. ( to accommodate BB Gala)

Wednesday 7th January - all sessions as usual!

Armagh Championships 2009

This year Newry and Mourne will act as hosts for the annual Armagh Championships to be held in Newry on Saturday 24th January 2009. Once again swimmers will be selected to represent the club in this event so keep this date free in your diaries. We did very well on our own home ground last year and we look forward to an exciting competition on the day.
